#reverb10 Day 31 – Core Story

Prompt: CORE STORY.
What central story is at the core of you, and how do you share it with the world? (Bonus: Consider your reflections from this month. Look through them to discover a thread you may not have noticed until today.)
{From Molly O’ Neill}
#reverb10 Day 30 – Gift

When I opened my email and read today’s #reverb10 prompt which comes from Holly Root, I knew exactly what I was going to write about.
GIFT:
This month, gifts and gift-giving can seem inescapable. What’s the most memorable gift, tangible or emotional, you received this year?
I touched on it here. Repetitive as it might be, I just wish to emphasise how much I meant what I wrote all those days ago.
#reverb10 Day 29 – Defining Moment

I shall resist the massive urge to say something disparaging.
The fact is that I’m flying back to London in a matter of hours and I was knocked out when my dad left for work this morning so I didn’t get to say goodbye. This makes me just a tiny little bit stabby.
#reverb10 Day 28 – Achieve

*Drags hand slowly down face*
I was sorely, sorely tempted to throw a line up here that said something like “for the answer to today’s #reverb10 prompt, please refer to days 2, 11, 13, 18, 20 and 21,” because (*resisting the strong urge to facepalm myself into oblivion) I feel like this topic is well-trodden ground.
In fact, this ground is so well trodden that it is now a crater or a valley. Scratch that, it’s the freakin’ Grand Canyon.
#reverb10 Day 27 – Ordinary Joy
From Brené Brown for #reverb10…
ORDINARY JOY:
Our most profound joy is often experienced during ordinary moments. What was one of your most joyful ordinary moments this year?

Stereo. 20-something aspiring bon vivant. London based. Exceptionally Nigerian. Partial to snark. My default setting is "wry". Jeans and blazers are my uniform. Landlady. Speed reader, tuneless singer, hoarder of words, drinker of Schloer; I am suspicious of most people, have zero tolerance for tomfoolery, have a vast DVD collection, worship at the altar of Al Green, own too many bottles of nail polish, have small eyes, small ears and giant hair and owe approximately 86% of my awesome to the Parents Typewriter.
